The Cabinet of Curiosities
The Cabinet of Curiosities is the working title of the project, in which the role of the artist shifts from the producer of art to the role of observer and collector. In it, the artist is a hunter of beauty, a collector of accidents, pulling out secret treasures from everyday life. Spying on the daily miracles. Carefully and unhurriedly peering into everyday life to discover quiet and inconspicuous jewels there. The project consists of objects produced by different actors - heat, water, friction, temperature fluctuations, animals and machinery. It includes found objects collected in different parts of the world, drawings that exactly repeat elements that could not be saved in any other way, arbitrary photographs taken with a smartphone, and objects produced randomly.
"The crab eats sand, extracts nutrients from it (organic residues, algae and other microorganisms) and throws out the cleaned sand in the form of balls. There are hundreds of such drawings on the deserted beaches of Indonesia, where I managed to visit. I've sketched some of them."

"Collecting pieces of wood polished by the waves on the shores of Lake Ladoga, I think about how long they swam in this water to get their shape? How many years have they been worn by the cold waters of Ladoga? What kind of people inhabited these shores back then? These thoughts fascinate and the imagination takes you back to ancient times... Pieces of wood turn into archaeological finds, sacred objects.… Here's the tip of a spear, and here's a piece of a fishing boat. Hoary antiquity comes to life in the palm of my hand"
"These are drawings of cracks that have formed on the asphalt due to temperature fluctuations. As you know, asphalt expands when heated, and contracts when cooled. Humidity and subsequent freezing of water in cracks also contribute to its destruction. I collected these samples on the streets of St. Petersburg"
